It must be Spring! All around the house I see a multitude of butterflies :) The weather is getting warmer too, which makes me happy. I love warm weather and I am always happy to see the end of Winter. My poor old bones and joints are happy too LOL
I have been busy making a few dollars here and there with some of my blogs, and I cannot complain about that! Having someone pay me to write, how kind! The only problem I have had is that I almost always write much more than is required.Guess I am just gabby LOL

Good and Not

I am having fun with blogging, especially the paid posts, like this one. If there is anything difficult about doing them, it has to be that I find it difficult to stop writing LOL The one I linked to, for example was a short one, minimum of 100 words. But, my creativity kicked in and I wrote a lot more than that :) That is good. The not so good is that I did it all for so little money. I won't say the amount, as I wouldn't want to embarrass myself or the company I wrote it for. But, I suppose, in the end, it's all good as this was my first paid post for this service and I want to do more for them. Besides, it's money I earned, and earning any money is always good :)

On the not so good side, there was an email in my box this morning saying that my blog over on blogono.com was not approved for their writing services. Foo!
But, back to the good, another company sent me an email saying that my blog was approved for them, so hooray!
So, I shall continue on my path to making money by blogging, certainly not to get wealthy or anything, but every dollar earned is a dollar I can use.
Hope all of you are having a fantastic day!

Blah

I just feel like that today, blah. My head has pains, not really a headache, but pain, as do some of my bones and joints. My sinus system is full of gunk, and I am tired. How much more blah can one body get?
Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I wanted to go out this weekend and do some shopping, especially for bike tires and tubes. I'd like to get my bike ready for summer. Oh well, the best laid plans, and all that jazz.
Hope the weekend is being nicer to you all :)

Strange Spring

Today is a little on the cool side, yet yesterday was almost like summer, with temperatures in the high 80's. Why can't Mother Nature make up her mind already?LOL
Maybe it will warm up again around noon.I hope so,because I am not a cool weather person! I like it hot, that's why I like the desert. Although, I won't be shocked if in the summertime I complain about the heat.I have noticed that with every passing year I get less comfortable with the heat. Odd how that happened.
I've lived in this desert for the better part of forty-odd years. I hated the heat when I first moved here, but after a summer or two, I was used to it and then I grew to love it. But, now that I am older (57) I am going backwards, to where the heat seems to much for me. I guess the solution would be to just become a nudist and let it all hang out and get myself an all over tan LOL

Good Question!

Why do people take away cartoons when I want to post them in my blog/journal? This happened in two different places today.
I suppose that means the artist does not want any advertising or more visitors?

Oh well, their loss :)

Best Friends

A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the

scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for

years. He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the

road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken

by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that

looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like

pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as

he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.

When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"

"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.

"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.

"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right

up."

The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveller

asked..

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued

the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a

dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been

closed. There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and

reading a book.

"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"

"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in."

"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.

"There should be a bowl by the pump."

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand

pump with a bowl beside it.

The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he

gave some to the dog.

When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was

standing by the tree.

"What do you call this place?" the traveller asked.

"This is Heaven," he answered.

"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said

that was Heaven, too."

"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's

hell."

"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"

"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their

best friends behind."
