Smart Phone

I'll admit it, I really don't care that much for cell phones. Heck, I don't care all that much for a regular telephone either. I own a cell phone though. It's a very simple phone, allowing me to send texts and make telephone calls. I could access the internet on it but never have and never will. That's what I have a computer for. My wife, on the other hand is just the opposite, she could easily be called a cell phone fanatic.
She spends hours looking at cell phones and determining if they are good or bad, worth the price, etc. And, when she finds one she likes a lot she starts to drool a little, reminding me of Homer Simpson staring at doughnuts. So I have no doubt in my mind that she will drool when she sees this Smart Phone, the htc desire 2.2:

According to the website, the HTC Desire Smartphone brings the latest version of Android to its already top quality hardware. The HTC Desire Z™ with Android comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HSPA connectivity and Bluetooth capabilities, connect to quick Internet browsing at your finger tips. With super fast download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, the HTC Desire Z™ could be the fastest Smartphone yet! Get down to business by quickly accessing your work contacts, calendar and docs while on the go. Take a break to view videos on YouTube or movies. HTC Desire Smartphone allows you to immerse yourself in the ultimate gaming experience with the vividly superb 480 X 800 WVGA high-resolution 3.7" screen.
And, right now this beauty is available for just $79.95. That's a darned good price by my standards. Heck, I spent half that amount and got my wife a phone that can surf the net and simply take photos. This Smart Phone could be just the perfect gift for my wife!
If you are thinking about getting a new cell phone for someone on your gift list or even yourself, you need to check this Smart Phone out for yourself. Imagine the joy on someone's face when they receive this as a gift. If they didn't love you before, they certainly will now!

Time To Switch

These days, with the economy the way that it is, everyone is looking for the best bargains they can find. They shop diligently, scouring the ads and the aisles for ways to save money on food, clothing and gadgets for the home. Makes perfect sense to me since I do it as well. But, why stop with those choices?
With a new year rapidly approaching perhaps this is a good time to think about switching your insurance policies as well. Time to check out the website here and find some cheap insurance.
Make certain that while you are saving money that you do not scrimp on the insurance needs that you have though. Get all the coverage that is necessary and still save some bucks. There will be nothing good later if you discover that you managed to save a few greenbacks but don't have the right coverage!
Check out the site, do a little research and decide what is the best way to go for you and your needs. Then grab the bargain, pat yourself on the back for being so smart and put those savings away somewhere for when you find a truly great bargain in your favorite store.

Time

One thing I have noticed about being so sick is that time passes differently than when you are healthy.

For instance, we all know just how easy it is to sit down at the computer for a few minutes, look up and realize that an hour has passed by in those "few" minutes.

Being sick I notice that I can moce from my prone position in bed to sitting up for what seems like a long time only to look at the clock and realize just a few moments have passed.

I will be happy when my time returns to some sense of normalcy. I will be even happier once I am healthy again :)

Out Of It

I am sleeping way, way, too much. I hope it is just the antibiotics kicking my butt. I sleep almost the entire day and night since I came home from the hospital. I have things I need to do but have no clue where I will get the energy to do them, so they get put off.
It takes me hours just to get out of the bed and walk into this kitchen so that I can do my updates for this blog or Facebook and to do my daily "work" that pays me pennies. I hope this is a temporary thing as I do not like being quite so lazy.
I do seem to be feeling better and I notice that I can pretty much taste things that I am eating or drinking so that is a good sign right there :)
I hope that none of you ever get this old or this sickly, it is not any fun at all.

Electricity Is In The Air

It's Winter time, we all know that. Some places already have had tons of snow fall on the ground. The problem with Winter is that most people have carpet and with carpet comes static electricity.
Carpeting might be nice most of the time but not during the Winter. During the Winter is the time one really wishes they had wooden floors, as they not only look nicer than carpet but it also keeps you from shocking yourself (or your appliances) when you simply move across the floor.
Of course you can always put on a pair of socks and slide across a wooden floor like the guy in the movie did and many have re-done it for commercials. Looks like fun however now that I am old and currently sickly I shall pass LOL
But most people think that wooden flooring is expensive and way beyond their budgets. Not true. You can buy discount laminate flooring at very reasonable prices without suffering loss of quality. In fact one can purchase this delightful wooden flooring for about the same price (or less) than you would pay for tiling or carpeting, under $2.00 per square foot!
So, why suffer through another year of static electricity and shock? Look into these handsome floors that are available to you and (should you feel really frisky) slide yourself across that floor!

Rough Times

It is hard to type this. Not because it is something horrible but it is because it is hard for my fingers and the keys on the keyboard to meld together the way that they used to, before I got old.
A few weeks back I turned sixty. Not that old for this day and age, that's for sure. But, old enough for me. Actually it isn't the getting older part that has done me in,it is the getting sick part that tried to destroy me.
I am at home typing this on my PC, same as always. I have spent the past five days in the hospital with pneumonia, and I had been sick for at least five days prior to finally calling 9-1-1 and going to the hospital. I had not eaten anything hardly in the last 3 or4 days I had been sick at home and that didn't make matters any easier. If anything, it made things a whole lot worse!
But, I am at home now and my two females are paying very close attention to every move I make, every sound I utter. I'd be willing to bet that if I burped right now my daughter, sitting close to me, would raise up her face and ask me if I am okay, do I need anything, etc. Nice to be loved, not always so nice to feel like you are being so closely guarded LOL
At least I managed to type this blog update, that is a great start. I have some more paid posts to write and must be able to type them. Otherwise I will have to get one of those programs that turns speech into text and I don't want to do that. Not the way I talk! lol
