Mind Boggling
LONDON (AP) - Workers responding to neighbors' complaints of a bad smell coming from an apartment in western England discovered a body that lay decomposing on a couch for years while another resident lived there, officials said Friday.
The British Broadcasting Corp. reported that neighbors of the Bristol, England apartment had been complaining for years about the stench and cleaning workers found the body. Neighbor Michael Stone told the BBC he assumed the tenant suffered from poor hygiene and even offered him air fresheners.
A spokesman for Bristol City Council said the body was thought to have been in the apartment for at least eight years.
The identity of the man, who was thought to be in his 70s when he died, has not been released.
Police arrested the apartment's tenant after the body was found Jan. 30, but concluded the death was not suspicious. The occupant, also in his 70s, apparently failed to report the death because he suffers from mental health problems.
Bristol Coroner's Court launched an urgent inquiry on Friday to determine how the corpse had gone unnoticed for so long.
A local lawmaker expressed disbelief at the find.
"How can any of us possibly understand how there could be a dead body in somebody's flat for five years, or maybe even as long as eight years, and nobody know and nobody notices, and life appears to go on as usual," Labour parliamentarian Dawn Primarolo told BBC television.

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
Super Tuesday has come and gone, with no clear winners. It does appear that Republican McCain is well on his way to being that party nominee. He carried California easily, probably due to the advertising blitz reminding voters here of Ronald Reagan. Nice touch!
On the Democratic side, it still appears to be a horse race, with both Obama and Clinton running neck and neck. This one should go down to the wire! I am pulling for Hilary! There is just something to perfect looking about Obama. He reminds me of a car salesman who is trying his damndest to sell me a lemon!
I hope you all took the time to vote and let your voice be heard :)

Done your duty yet?
It’s primary election day here in California, and a lot of the U.S. For once, the voters in California actually get to have some impact in the primaries, which is rather exciting. Normally, by the time we vote, things are pretty much already decided, whcih has always seemed like a shame.
I have not voted as I write this, but am planning to go to the polls as soon as the teenager is back from school. She always goes with us to the polls, which I think is important, it gives her the chance to see that, no matter what is going on in the world, voting is important. With Free Speech, we always have the right to moan and groan about who gets elected, but, if one doesn’t vote, why do they care who wins or loses?
So, in a couple of hours, the two voters in this household will go and cast their ballots. I will cast mine for Hilary Clinton, as I truly feel she is the best Democratic candidate. My lovely wife will cast her vote for whoever she likes in the Green Party. Then, we will both feel a sense of accomplishment, for whatever part we have played in the election outcome.
If you have not done so already, I urge you to go to your polling place and vote. Be you Democrat, Republican or Independent, exercise your right to choose.

What Do You Want From Your Readers?
Obviously, you'd like your readers to click on your sponsors, otherwise you'll make no money from your blog. But, that's not the important part.
You want your readers to read your words of wisdom and to comment. Unless you are tracking every visitor to your page, how else would you know that you are being read? Comments are the only true way to know. You know not only that they read your post, but they also cared enough about what they read to take time out of their precious day to respond. This is the most important part!
There is nothing about blogging that is more satisfying than to know what you wrote caused a person to respond back. Even a spammer. They didn't have to choose your blog to spam, but they did, and that says something.
I once knew a young lady who, when told that people were talking bad about her, said she didn't care. When asked why, she simply said, at least they are talking about me, so I must be on their mind. I think that's the right attitude to blogging as well. Even if the response is negative, at least they made a response, you were on their mind.
Of course, some blogs, like this one http://isntlifestrange.blogono.com/ require little or no comments. You read the funny story or look at the pictures and move on. Unless the reader just wants you to know they were there, comments are not needed. Although I am sure they are appreciated nonetheless :)
