Light Up

While most people about now are planning their festivities for the upcoming Halloween, wondering if they will have enough goodies to hand out to the kids or if they have enough goodies for their spooky party, it is also time that lots of folks start thinking of the next holiday season.
Yes, it's time to think seriously about decorating the house, the tree and the wreath you'll be hanging on your door. For many of us it also will be time to look at the tangled mess of lights that we have left over from last year with the multitude of burned out lights and wires that seem to go everywhere. Perhaps we should just throw them away and start fresh with some brand new led christmas lights. Always seems so much easier than untangling last years fiasco!
Not only is starting anew easier it can also save you some money! Tossing out those old giant bulbs that waste a lot of energy and result in a much higher electric bill and using LED lights is beneficial to both your wallet and the environment. Plus these LED lights can last up to ten times longer than traditional bulbs!
Also available are great items to decorate your yard, like this 15-17" HOLOGRAPHIC POLAR BEAR:

So, while you are wondering about Halloween and candy set some time aside now to seriously think about Christmas decorations. The sooner you order them the sooner you can begin to dazzle your family, friends and the neighbors!

Ghosts?

My wife's dog is a small dog and like most small dogs likes to bark at things. People that walk by the house are especially good for barking at. I guess any excuse is a good excuse, more so when the neighbors dogs that are outside are also barking. Fun to see which dog will get the last word!
However there are times when this little dog barks at nothing. He stares intently as if he is seeing something but when I look there is nothing there. No movement from an open window breeze or anything, just nothing there.
I have to wonder if he is seeing the spirits that have followed me from my old house. There were several there at that address and they were, for the most part, friendly and somewhat protective of me. I know that at least one of them did follow me when I moved as I occasionally see the shadow as it crosses my bedroom. So, I have to wonder if this is what the dog is barking at when I see nothing there, just some spirit.
The bad part is that the dog sometimes greatly disturbs my daughter with his barking and she wonders what he is barking at. I have not told her that there are spirits in this house because she was very much disturbed by the ones in the old house. She thinks the spirits are out to get her.
Whatever the dog senses is not frightening to him or he wouldn't bark and whimper the way he does. He would run and hide as he is a smart little dog. I just wish he would bark a couple of times and stop. He however would rather bark quite a few times in several places before he stops.
So, I have to wonder, does the dog see the spirits that humans cannot see?

Let's Get Medical

I. like millions of others, hate going to see a doctor. Like most males I wait until things have reached the emergency level before I even think about a doctor. I know this is wrong but I still do it. When I do finally get to see a doctor I do expect them to solve all my aches and pains and ailments. And I expect them to have the best equipment that is available, you know, all the latest medical gadgets with all the bells and whistles.
Because heart problems run in my family with various relatives having heart attacks or strokes, the one piece of equipment that I truly want any doctor to have on hand is the latest and best ekg machine.
While I have not had serious heart issues I do have a history of lung troubles. When I go into an emergency room with chest pains I always am rushed to the nearest EKG machine to make sure it's not a heart attack. Sometimes I wish it were as lung troubles are so much harder to find and solve than heart issues.
If you are a physician or a health care professional then I urge you to have the best possible equipment available for your use. Whether that be a simple thermometer to the latest in EKG machinery I have no doubt that you will be happy to have the best equipment on hand. And I am certain that your patients, especially guys like me that wait for the last moment, will be even happier that you can help them quickly and efficiently.

You Must Be Joking

The computer and monitor spectacle has taken a new turn, a turn for the worst, a turn that takes this into unbelievable!
I sent the computer seller an email on Sunday saying it's been a week since they told me a replacement would be sent on Monday and I would really like some action on their part or a refund.
Today I got an email from them saying they had shipped the computer and monitor and, according to their information, it was delivered last Thursday. So, I took the tracking number they gave me and went to the UPS tracking site. Yep, according to UPS they did deliver the packages last Thursday.
Here is where it turns absurd. I sit at home all day every day using this computer. My view is through the window beside the table that looks directly towards the front door. I can see if someone comes knocking at that door. Now, according to UPS they delivered the packages and left them on the porch!
So basically what they are saying is that in spite of the fact that they are delivering over 20 pounds of goods in 2 boxes they just left it sitting on a porch somewhere, no signature required, no nothing, just leave the boxes and continue on their route???
I call the Customer Service man at the computer company to explain the situation. He is confused as I am as to why they would just leave the boxes on a porch. Now the next step is that he passes it along to a manager and that manager will contact UPS and launch an investigation into where the boxes actually were delivered, by whom and whatever else they deem appropriate. I hope he gives them a good butt chewing for being so stupid!
Ironic, Shelly told me before I ordered the computer and monitor for her that she was in no hurry, she could wait until December for a new one. At the rate things are going, she may just get it by then.

Sports Is Personal

I believe that every child and young adult should be involved in some sort of sports activity. Not only is it good for the body to get some actual exercise but it also helps with people skills. There is a real sense of camaraderie among people that play sports, whether they are your own teammates or players from the opposing team.
When my boys were kids they were interested in playing Little League baseball, which is a great sport for kids. It's a lot of work for the parents as there is always some sort of work to be done whether it is working the snack bar at the games or doing some sort of fundraising to help the team get better equipment. Let's face it, baseball bats break, gloves and shoes wear out.
A great fundraising idea for a sports team like Little League is personalized baseball bats. A fan of the team can have something great for their donations. Not all fans of Little League or Pony League games are parents. As a teenager I would often go watch baseball games being played on the local fields. I enjoy baseball and, since I could not play it, at least I could watch others having fun.
Sometimes at the snack bar I would see a jar or a large can with a sign asking for donations. Toss in your spare change or a dollar or so and feel good about helping the youngsters. Now imagine that, instead of a large jar, you could actually give the donor something physical. I should think that People would be more willing to donate for the cause this way. These personal items are not only cute but they can have your team logo on them making them quite the item!
So, your child or young adult is not into baseball? Not a problem. They also have other personalized sports items on this site, hockey, football, basketball and soccer. Very nice items at an affordable fundraising price. So, if fundraising for your team is part of your life you should check out the site and see what they have to offer you and your team.
Give your donors something tangible that they can hold in their hands as well as something personal, just for your team.

Boredom

Why do people come into a game chat room and type "I'm bored"? You're at a game site, how about playing some games? Do they think it is up to the other players or the moderators to entertain them?
I mean if you're in some sort of chat forum where all you do is chat then I could understand saying you're bored. But in a game chat room?
I guess I should be happy that this is all they are saying. Sometimes we get players in the chat that are clearly bored and just want to cause trouble with the other players or the Mods. These players are entertained by getting kicked out of the room!
If you are online and you are bored perhaps it is time to turn your computer off and go find a more entertaining place to be.

The Best Way

Is their a best way to lose weight? Sure, but only for some. What works best for you is not necessarily going to work best for your co-worker or your neighbor or even your spouse. Every body is different and every body has it's own requirements for losing weight.
So, with that thought in mind you have to look not for the best way but rather best ways to lose weight. Notice that there is a plural there, ways.
Now that we have your mind going in the proper direction your next question should be where do you go to find these ways. The answer is simple, really. You go online, just where you are at the moment. You spend hours, maybe even days, searching for every single piece of valuable information you can find. Simple, yes? No? You do not want to do all that work on your own? No worries, my friend.
The website I linked to above has lots of information for you all in one handy and convenient website. They have done all the hard work for you, making things incredibly simple. All you have to do is look at the information and make simple choices for yourself.
Once you have the needed information at hand, talk to your doctor. They know what your body can, and cannot, handle. They will be happy that you have taken that first step to a slimmer, more healthy you.
Simple is best.
