Clinical Nurse Leader

Are you a nurse? Making good money, but the hours are driving you nuts? Thinking you'd really like to get ahead but not sure where to start, especially with your crazy hours and long shifts?
Saint Xavier University's School of Nursing offers an MS Nursing degree that can help you get ahead in your field. Through comprehensive coursework designed to fit around your busy schedule, you will be able to increase your education and potential for advancement while still maintaining your other responsibilities at work as well as your family obligations.
While most of the work can be done on-line, there are a few Practicum courses that will be done outside a school setting but these are performed in your local area.
The Clinical Decision-Making and Advanced Health Assessment with Adults course is a comprehensive course that stresses the view that clients are very complex beings possessing physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs and resources. Isn't this what a Clinical Nurse Leader should do, treat people as people and not just something taking up a hospital bed? Remember, these people wouldn't be there if they didn't need some sort of treatment and a little compassion for your patients will go a long way :)
This course includes a three-day residency at Saint Xavier University's Chicago Campus. The residency will be held on a Friday evening through Sunday morning during the second half of the course. Surely you can afford to give up one weekend in order to get ahead!
Saint Xavier University is a fully accredited university, receiving their accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). They are not some school that offers you online classes that will get you nowhere (besides the poor house), but a genuine university that wants to help you succeed in your chosen career.
They offer Financial Aid, helping you to find scholarships and other monies that may be available to help you with furthering your education. To begin the financial aid process, please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
You can get more information by either clicking the link above or by contacting the school toll free at 1-866-319-8966. Whichever way to choose, isn't it time to start getting ahead? Check out Saint Xavier University today! These courses will get you a Master of Science degree in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Leader Masters Degree. All you need to start is a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Is It Spring Yet?

We have had a few days of warmth, but today was cold and windy and awful. I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind, is it Spring yet or not?
Feeling much better today as far as that cold goes, which is a good thing. I went bowling today so I cannot be too sick LOL I bowled very well the first two games then completely fell apart. I did end up with a nice series and we won two games out of three so I cannot complain about that either LOL
My back is killing me right now, even with the pain meds I took, but I'm sure I will be okay after I get some rest.
I do hope you all have excellent weather for your weekend and can go outside and play :)

Let's Talk Fancy Cars

In spite of our seemingly depressed economy, (or is that recessed economy?) many people still drive fancy cars. I know that if I had one, I'd certainly drive it around, if for no other reason than I could. What good is a fancy automobile if it just sits in your garage? None!
But, what if your fancy car breaks down or you just want to make it even fancier? Where do you go to find quality Ferrari parts?
Ricambiamerica has 80,000+ Original Ferrari Parts and Tools to help you with whatever is ailing your fancy car. Imagine, over 80,000 parts and tools, that, to me, shows that no matter what, this site will have the parts and the tools required to do any repair jobs you may have. Not just for Ferrari's either. They also have things you need for your Maserati and Lamborghini as well.
If you are like me, not an expert mechanic, you will need to know how the parts go together. They have that covered as well, with diagrams! It's frustrating when things come apart and you have no idea how they go back together. And, let's face it, when working on a car, this happens. So nice to be able to see a picture of how those parts fit back together.
So, if your fancy car needs some tuning up or repairs, click on the link above and find exactly what you need to get your baby back on the road.

New Dog

This is Brownie, my woman's new dog. Very cute little guy, and he seems to be very happy in his new surroundings. And Shelly is very happy with him, as she has wanted a dog of her own for some time now and she really enjoys taking Brownie out for walks :)
Now, if we can just get the dog expert teenager that knows everything about everything to shut up, we all will be better off LOL

Barcode Scanners

You're in a store going through the check out line with your goods. Instead of ringing things up on the cash register, the clerk is scanning your packages with a scanner. So much quicker and so much more efficient. A barcode scanner can do more than just ring things up though. They also help a company keep track of their inventory. Every time a product is scanned at the checkout it removes one item from the inventory of the store.
But, what if you wanted one of these gizmos for your business? After all, they can save you a lot of time and money. But, you are unsure of just what type of barcode scanner will fit you best. No problem! Just click on the link and see what types are available. Scanners like this one:

Its features include:
* Features Include Ergonomic and Light Weight
* Compact Design
* Strong ABS & Rubber Housing
* Reading Distance: Up to 10 Inches
* Includes Cradle with Mounting Screws
* Ideal in Retail and lndustrial Environments

These scanners are very affordable too, compared to a few years ago. So, think about how one of these scanners can help you with your business and save you money in the long run, not to mention take away the hassle of keeping track of all your inventory.

Head Plug

No, it isn't a new product on the market, it's how my head feels, plugged :( I've had a nasty cold the past few days and for most of that time, the cold had settled in my eyes, making it near impossible to see let alone update my blog. But, I am feeling better today so here I am :)
It still hurts if the lights around me are too bright, but I will try my best to be online. I have three jobs waiting for my wit and wisdom. Cold or no cold, I hate to miss assignments!

I apologize

For my absence the past few days. I have not been feeling all that well and then I have had a lot of things to do.
I am in the process of taking all the files from this hard drive and putting them onto another hard drive that's much larger. Of course, in the process of playing around with the computers, I managed to mess some things up for awhile. I somehow took almost all of the memory off this one so it ran slower than a snail LOL But, I fixed that problem the next day, so all is well there.
In the course of doing these things, I had a fun time. Once, having swapped the two computers around I panicked when the computer no longer showed me anything on the monitor. Took me several minutes to figure out why. THE MONITOR WAS NOT PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER! LOL
Oh well. Life goes on. Right now I am playing with an MP3 player from Sansa that is the MP3 player from Hell! It refuses to allow me to put songs on the thing anywhere where they can actually be listened to. I am just a hair away from taking it back to Walmart and telling them it is worthless and buying an MP3 player that I can actually work with. Of course, I am sure that my child will not like whatever one I pick out LOL
Have a great weekend folks! See you around...providing I don't blow myself up with computers and MP3 players! LOL

Toys and Kids

Just a couple of weeks ago my teenager saw a replica of the original Barbie doll while out shopping with her mother. She came home and begged and pleaded and whined for that silly doll. She had to wait though because, like most people, we just don't have forty dollars laying around the house doing nothing. We have bills to pay and food to buy instead.
But, such is the life of a kid. They need things to play with. Whether it is an expensive toy or not, they must have toys! When i was a kid, we saw toys on television shows and did just what my daughter did. Of course, in those days, toys were rather simplistic.
Today the toys that kids want are not simple at all. They aren't all expensive, which is great considering all the fancy things they can do. Especially robot toys. I really like this toy, the WowWee Robosapien Robot with remote control:

Come on now, doesn't this look like a super neat toy that will provide your child with hours and hours of pure fun? Providing of course, that they can get it away from the grownups? LOL
Basically, this is what this toy can do: A fusion of technology and personality, the Robosapien marks a tremendous advance in remote activated robotic function. Standing over a foot tall, this completely interactive robot has the ability to walk, dance and groove, as well as pick up and throw items. This robotic wonder also delivers several combinations of strikes and chops. The fluid biomechanical motions are amazing. Kids can control all the robotic movements with the easy-to-use remote. Remote transmission is infrared which requires the controller to be in the line of sight of the Robosapien. Program up to 84 different action sequences, and utilize four program modes for advanced operations. As if that weren''t enough, the Robosapien also sports an interactive reflex system comprised of six sensors that detect obstructions.
Okay, so, now that you are hooked on the idea of toys, click on the link above and go get some great toys for your child. While you are there, pick up a toy or two for yourself, because you know your child is not going to share their toys with you :)

Do I, Really?

The past two weeks has been rather gloomy here. We've had rain, snow (twice), hail and sleet. The one comment that people like to say? We need the rain.
Now, I live in the desert, a place that gets an average of four inches of rainper year and thrives just fine. No, it doesn't keep your lawn green nor a lot of trees either. But, it survives just fine without much rain.
My answer to these people is that perhaps they should move back to wherever they came from and be happy there with lots of rain and greenery. This is the desert, it is brown and beautiful to those of us that actually like the desert. It does NOT need rain, and neither do I :)

A Takeover

It is time to take over this blog and go back to what it was originally designed for, mainly writing. Gone are the pictures or most of them. I will delete the remainders as time allows.
Why, you ask am I doing such a dastardly deed? It's simple, actually. Work is the reason. Since I started being lazy and just posting mainly pictures, my paid post assignments have dwindled. I have had one in the past two weeks! This is not a good thing, as I like writing those posts and I also like the extra money I get from doing them.
So, if you are one of those that just comes here for the pictures, I am sorry to disappoint you. Tough (economic) times call for desperate measures.

Stiff Is Not Good

Bowled two leagues back to back yesterday, first time I've done that in a month or more. My body is letting me know today that it did not enjoy the experience. My arms hurt like crazy and my legs aren't far behind LOL
For the first league I used my older, heavier ball and then switched to the lighter ball for the second league. I think I should have done that in reverse, or maybe just kept to the new, lighter bowling ball for both leagues. Since I am bowling both leagues again next Thursday, I believe I will use the lighter ball for both leagues and see how well that goes. I cannot have a body that doesn't want to work because it is too sore :(

Say what?

It is raining here. Outside the bowling alley for a quick smoke, another bowler and I talked about the rain.
Me: Rain? Too much rain.
Him: You need the rain.
Me: I live in the desert.
Him: That's why you need the rain.
Say what? If it's a desert, it does not require a lot of water to survive, it has managed to survive all these years without it, why does it need rain now? LOL People here are strange!

Medium

Did you catch the return of Medium last night? I was happy to have it back as it is one of the few television shows I really enjoy watching. And I was very happy to see that they both have their jobs back :) Of course, in keeping with the shows standard things it wasn't very long into the program when Joe, the hubby, gets awakened again LOL
I do wonder what will happen to these ten o'clock shows when Jay Leno starts doing his show every night at ten o'clock. Medium, Law and Order, all those good shows. I hope they don't just get rid of them all :(

Don't You Wish

You had a maid like this one? I do!
