While surfing through some Google images, I came across a section of old Life magazine photos dealing with baseball and its fans. I had to chuckle at most of them, they brought back memories of a much simpler time of life. But this one below I had to save and put here on my blog. It was a great year, when the underdog Pirates defeated the team that couldn't possibly lose, the dreaded New York Yankees. After all, they had Mantle! But, in the end, we had Maz!
Could 2009 be like 1960?
