Shutouts. Against the evil Atlanta Braves, the team that has destroyed Pirate fans playoff hopes in the past.
Yesterday it was 3 to 0, a very nice pitchers duel, even if the Braves pitchers did give up 3 runs.
Today was a different ballgame. 10 to 0! Craig Monroe hit two, count them, two homeruns for six of those runs. And he hit them a long, long way! A great game to listen to (unless you like the Braves LOL)
This brings the Bucs to a 6 and 5 record :) I know it's early, but it it's never to early to hope. Not just for a winning season, whcih the Pirates have not had in years, but maybe, just maybe, a chance at the playoffs.
