Crazy Insurance Company

Okay, so I have been home for a few days, taking my meds and using the inhalers and the oxygen they sent home with me.
The company that gave me the oxygen when I left the hospital said on Monday they do not accept my insurance company and I would have to get it straight with my doctor. Told them I had an appointment next Tuesday and they say okay.
Yesterday another oxygen supply place showed up to deliver oxygen tanks and a machine. WTH? I didn't do it but thought the first company did and was thinking that was very good business customer service on their part. I was wrong, they didn't do it either lol
It appears that the hospital did it and I am thankful for that. So, first company came and picked up their equipment yesterday afternoon and all is good.
Got a call from doctor's office this morning. My appointment is NOT Tuesday. It is Monday! Hate getting old and not keeping better track of dates :(

Home Again

Only 2 days in the hospital this time, I am getting good at escaping lol Seems odd to me, when I had no insurance they kept me a week. Now that I have insurance 2 days. WTH??
They sent me home with five different prescriptions to alleviate my bronchial troubles as well as some antibiotics. They also sent me home with oxygen, again. Not sure if the Medi-Cal folks will pay for that but won't know until Monday so in the meantime I have it to use and I am using it.
Have a Skype meeting today in about 2 hours but I am not sure I will make it with voice. My voice keeps going in and out and I don't want to sound like Mickey Mouse or something when talking with the rest of the mods lol
At least I am home :)

Not Good

It is a few minutes after five in the morning. Nice and quiet here in the hospital beyond the noise from the television set that my roommate must have on just so he can snore. Me I may have drifted off for a whole fifteen minutes all night long. Not good.

or no sensible reasoning that I can see a nurse comes into the room with a scale so that she can weigh my roommate. WTH? At five in the morning? When she is done with him they move the scale over to my area and ask if they can weigh me. Why not, I am still very much awake. Not good.

I have noticed that my legs and arms have seemed a little thinner than they used to be. I attributed this to old age, no big deal. People often get thinner as they age and I am almost 61 so it didn't bother me all that much to notice. Not good.

I got on the scale but now wish I had said "no thanks". It gave me some strange weight in kilograms and I should have let it go, hopped back into bed and be done with it all. Nope, not this inquisitive Irishman. Not good.

According to the hospital scale I weigh, in US pounds,83.4. Not good at all. Twenty pounds under my normal way too skinny weight. Not good :(

Tired

I'm tired lately. Perhaps it is due to too many hours looking at player chat or just being on this computer. Who knows?
Part of it is I am tired of players that say really stupid things then wonder why they have been chat banned. Or players that come into the middle of a conversation and get offended without having all of the information. I can do without either of these types, believe me.
The Mod boss is back, sort of. She comes and goes as she wishes and I have no qualms with that, I am happy to see her return. She did leave the two temporary bosses listed as Supervisors though and I'm not sure what is up with that. Guess she'd rather he and I read all the lobby chat instead of herself lol
It is a good thing I have broad shoulders, this job certainly requires them as well as a sense of humor. Without those two things I would be doomed...

I Can Only Hope

My lovely daughter is twenty years of age. She still thinks, at times, like a very small girl though.
She uses perfumes and body sprays like the average female. However, like a little child, she still seems to believe that, if a little smells nice a lot of it will smell even nicer!
I swear there are times when she marinates herself in the dtuff and I have trouble breathing. Yuck!
Please, please, please...is there an age when little girls actually do grow up and leave fantasy land???
I can only hope...

Anesthesiologist Jobs

The economy shows no real signs of vast improvement these days which is sad. Too many people are out of work and wondering where they can find a job, any job. This is more evident to online users I am certain because everywhere we go we are bombarded by advertisements of going back to school and learning a career job in 18 months or less, jobs like nursing or becoming an anesthesiologist.
This may actually be the best route to take if you have such an inclination. Being an anesthesiologist never did look like it was that difficult (although I'm sure they have horror stories like any other medical person) and, judging from past bills I have received from hospitals, they are well paid for their services.
I also see on this website that Anesthesiologist Jobs appear to be plentiful both here in the United States as well as Canada. You can search these jobs by either state or province making it easier to find opportunities in a place you would actually like to live and work.
If you are already an Anesthesiologist and are looking for a new job or perhaps a step up then you should check out all the listings they have. If you are not already an Anesthesiologist then perhaps you should consider learning the job and then checking the listings out and getting a job.
Jobs are hard to come by these days so, when Opportunity knocks, open the door!

Celebrities

My wife keeps track, somewhat, of celebrities and their goings on by following TMZ on Facebook and she watches a show online called TMZ Live.
The more I hear that show the more I realize that celebs are as bad, if not worse, than spoiled little children. They always seem to have something to moan and cry about.
Today it was about whether or not a male celeb has the right to live some sort of life now that he is divorced and his celeb wife wants to send their child to a private school. WTH?
Yes, he has to help support the child, that is a given. As does she, that's also a given. But to squabble over whether or not the man can enjoy some pleasures in his life is ridiculous to me. She probably makes more money than he does. She is a producer, he is an actor that I last saw on tv doing a commercial of some sort. No, not a famous commercial, just a regular ad that appears on cable stations from time to time.
Then the ex-wife moans because he hired a lawyer to fight her latest "want" in court. She has a lawyer, wonder how much she pays him? That money could easily have been spent putting the child into a private school and that would have been the end of it all, but, no.
Like I said, spoiled little kids, always with an "I want"...

Another Mod

Finally got us another chat moderator! Nice guy, everyone likes him, including the players so that is always a plus. Took a long time though, process can be slow without some things like the Head Mod coming back to work lol
Plus one Mod that has been missing for a while now is back. His mother was gravely ill and I told him to stay with her, the heck with the game site. Family first :)
Now I just have one more player to add to the Mod list. He is having some surgery in a few days so he is waiting to see how that goes before committing :)

Sick Again?

Looks like I might end up back in hospital if I am not careful. Too much stress, not sleeping well, it all adds up after a bit :(
I am trying my best not to get too stressed out but it is difficult lately. A mod has a sick Mom who is most likely dying and he cannot do his shift. Another wants to quit and I never know if she will show up or not. A third Mod lost her internet for 3 days. Ugh!
Today seems a little calmer and I am trying to take advantage of that. I am not in the lobby looking at chat. I was on Skype but avoided the Mod box to talk to someone in private and then I closed it down so that I could do other things I needed to do like write this blog post.

Lose Some Pounds

It's Summertime and it is as hot as can be. I'm sitting here typing and sweating like the proverbial pig. I don't know how people that are overweight handle this type of hot weather.

Death

I have always heard that, if you die in a dream then you have died. If you are falling from a building for instance you must wake yourself up before you go splat on the sidewalk. I now no longer believe this to be true.
The last dream that I had before awakening today, I died in. I was putting things into the back of my car and there was an explosion and the car rear door collapsed on my head and killed me.
I was sad in my dream and not quite sure what to do now that I was dead but I had a cell phone in my hand and I tried to call home but the phone would not work, the battery was dead. I found a charger and plugged in in and still the phone would not work. I hate phones! lol
I then decided that my only solution to my problem of not being able to contact home would be to walk home. It was while I was deciding the best route to walk that I awoke. I was not terrified when I woke up, not gasping for breath or anything I woke up calmly.
So, if I died in my dream why did I not die? I do believe that stuff about you must wake up from a dream before you die is all a myth.

This Is My Home

This video is of a place called the Antelope Valley. It is in California, roughly 65 away from Los Angeles and there is still a lot of desert left outside the two major cities in the A.V. Apparently the County of Los Angeles likes to poke its nose into the people that live here :( This video makes me both sad and angry.
Before the town I live in became a city the County of Los Angeles could care less about the town or the entire Antelop Valley for that matter. Now they want to mess with hard working decent people that have done nothing wrong beyond making a home? How pathetic!!

LCD Television

Just to show you all how old I am, when I was a little boy we had television but it was (a) very small and (b) black and white. The picture wasn't always the best and sometimes it got terrible because an antenna went the wrong direction.
Then came color! Of course not ever program was made in color so we went from black and white to basically green and white lol But, if nothing else, picture quality was improving!
These days, antennas are pretty much obsolete and the picture quality has dramatically improved. These days you can get lg lcd tvs, wide screens, all sorts of great and wonderful things.
Stop staring at that old 20 inch television set and get into the new high tech version of LCD television. How about this beautiful 47 inch television?

You watch that television and you will wonder how in the world you ever watched television on your old set.
Come on, folks, it is time. Upgrade that old set and catch up to the new era of LCD televisions.

What Happened?

This used to be a great country, filled with working people who made things, built things, sold things.
Nowdays it seems like too many folks are out of work, little is still made in the USA and the economy is in the toilet.
I don't know where we went wrong here, seems like the only strong employer are the armed forces and defense companies.
Millions out of work would, I am certain, be happy to have a job even for low wages than no job at all. But still we buy things from other countries, we send our work to other countries and we get poorer every year.
America needs to pull it's head out of the sand and regroup!
