How Sad

While discussing a Barbie doll my 20 year old wants for Christmas she wondered if I knew where they come from. I know she meant what stores are selling them but I gave her this instead "Probably from China" and I laughed.
I then said, you know, there was a time when things were actually made here in the United States. Her reply makes me sad, not for me per se, but for all of the people in America that are young like her...
"Get over it, hippie!"
