Are You Zyngle?
I am an old geezer so I never got the use of free online dating sites. In my day it was see pretty girl, say hello and go from there.
These days it is quite different. You fill out information about yourself, and into the databank you go. In the case of Zyngle, it's free to do this because they are supported by the advertisements that one sees on their website. Free is always a good thing.
If you are single and looking for a little romance or at the very least a chance at romance, then you should go and join their site. Who knows, you may find the love of your life on their.
As for me, I believe i shall pass. it looks like a very nice place to meet singles and all that but I am afraid my wife would not take too kindly to me looking for a new partner. Wives can be funny that way.

One thing the average woman loves to shop for is shoes. Seems like they can spend hours looking at shoes, trying them on, drooling over how cute they look and finally buying the pair they think is cutest. That, my friends, is their problem.

That is why they own so many pairs. Once they get home and actually try to walk around in their oh so cute new shoes they find that the shoes are uncomfortable as can be.
The reason is that the average woman looks at shoes that re fairly narrow in width when they really should be looking at wide shoes for women. Most stores that women shop in do not sell wide shoes, just "average" shoe widths. Bad for women, great for the stores.

Seems like nary a day goes by when you don't hear about some celebrity somewhere getting into trouble and either being ordered or voluntarily going to a detox center somewhere. This week we started having tournaments with a new affiliate, friendly to US players. those are hard to come by!
Today, sadly, we got word from the company that they will no longer accept US players due to a cease and desist order from Homeland Security.
Not sure why Homeland Security is involved, not many terrorists sitting online playing these games, but, what do i know?

Rough Week
In between being the Admin on the game site and being ill it has been a rough week. Worst of it though was last night.
Went to light up a cigarette that I had put out earlier and the cigarette caught on fire, setting my mustache on fire along with it. then the tube in my nose decided to get into the act as well. Ugh!
I had to replace the tubing, put something on the side of my nose for a burn and the hairs of my mustache on one side are feeling very rough.
I might have to shave it off. Saddens me though as I have had this mustache for probably twenty years or more now.
Some days I know I shoulda stood in bed...

Crazy
Usually if there is drama on the game site it is during the weekends when players have been drinking or they are just bored or something. This time it started on a Monday.
Don't know why players cannot simply accept someone elses opinion and let it go but some cannot and an argument ensues. Not fun for the Mods because we have to put the fire out.
I also do not know why some players have trouble with the rules, we all must adhere to them, even the Mods. heck, even the Admins must. I broke no rule but a player wanted to argue with me about it. A Mod posted the rule showing that I did not violate it and the player shut up and went away. She just wanted a fight but we wouldn't give it to her. She will probably cry about it on her Facebook like she often does.
Such fun. Not. And to think, it is only Monday...

Proud Of Herself
This young lady is very proudly holding her first real paycheck. She was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army this past holiday season. A real job, even if it was only temporary :)
Ski Wear
I must confess that i know very very little about skiing or the clothing that is worn while one is on the slopes. i do know about wearing warm clothing in the Winter though as I worked outside at night in the Winter and I did not wish to freeze.
If you are going to be at the ski lodge or on the slopes or just outside in the freezing weather you need some warm clothes to keep you from getting frostbite. Clothing made by obermeyer is a great idea.
Not just jackets or coats either, a great pair of warm pants is definitely called for. If you are like me, if one part of the body gets cold the brain thinks the entire body is cold. Cold is no fun at all.

I know I said in an earlier post that I need to save up for a new computer for my wife. But, there is always a but, I also need to get some new furniture for my bedroom. A larger bed would be nice.
Last night I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back I found my wife had taken up almost all of the space I had just vacated lol She likes to lay diagonally across the bed and it pains me to make her move because I don't want to wake her up but, geez, a man needs to be able to lay down to sleep!

Siblings
This is a nice picture of my brother Paul, my sister Virginia and myself. Don't remember what the occasion was but it must have been something good, I wore a suit and a tie that day.
I miss both of these siblings. I miss my others as well and wish I had pictures of them too but I don't :(

When I was a youngster i wanted to learn to play the electric guitar and be fancy like Duanne Eddy. But, alas, I never got to learn how to do that. i did learn to play the guitar but I am not very good at it.
My granddaughter is now learning to play the electric guitar and she definitely needs to check out all the electric guitar songs at this website. Okay, I know this is going to sound odd, but, hey, I am odd. There has always been something about pregnant women that I have found appealing, sexy even. At least when they try to dress nicely. Wearing a tee shirt that shows off your tummy and pants that no longer fit is not what I mean. just because a woman is pregnant does not mean she must look like a slob.
For years though maternity clothes looked rather drab or just plain wrong. Like the designers thought that they were trying to dress up a cow or something, not flattering at all in my opinion. Thankfully though times have changed and so have plus size maternity clothes.

One of the things I noticed while I was in the hospital was how many healthcare carts were in use. Seems like everyone had their own little cart to use, be it for medicines or vital signs.

Too Much Work
Seems like work is feast or famine lol For both this blog and my game site. Things are either quiet at the site or there's a riot, no middle ground.
Blogging work also, some weeks I have hardly anything to write for and some weeks, like this one, I am overwhelmed by assignments.
Not gonna complain though, every dollar helps. I really need to save up for a new computer for my wife, hers is slower than molasses for the things she wants to do. Her games on Facebook freeze her computer way too quickly :(

Valentine's Day Gifts
it 's February, that time of year our minds turn to Valentine's Day and the gifts we must give our lovers. Or, in my case, my lover and my daughter. Can't forget the daughter or she'll have terribly hurt feelings for a long time. I definitely do not want that.
I normally just buy them cards and some candy i find at the local Walgreen's store close to the house. But I found this website that offers some really interesting chocolates for valentine's day. Like this:
This would make a lovely gift for a spouse or a lover. Who doesn't like to hear reasons they are loved? And of course the chocolates inside are very nice as well. I am certain my wife would love to get these, she loves chocolates. Not a gift for the daughter though, for her this is more appropriate:

New Admins
Well I and another person have taken over control of the game site I play on as Admins. Lot of work but it will be fun as well, I hope. The other Admin made a new forum for the players and the Mods so that part is set up and running.
I also made a player a Mod, with the other Admin's approval of course, so that part is working as well.
We have changed a few things from the last Admin. New chat Mods will not get a boot tool right away, giving them time to get used to being a Mod and also giving us time to see if they really want the job or they just wanted to boot people. We do not need another boot crazy Mod, the last one was enough.
There are challenges ahead, I just hope that the two of us are up to handling whatever may arise.

Eye Is Better
My wife has been taking eyedrops for a while now as well as some sort of ointment and her eye is looking much better these days. I can actually see the eyeball and it's lovely green color :)
I am not sure what one does with ointment for an eye, it doesn't sound right to me. Ointments I always thought were just for the skin. I am not an educated man when it comes to medicines though LOL
I am just happy that her eye is looking better each day. From her side of things it is still cloudy but not as bad as it was in the beginning so that is a good sign as well.
I do wish she would wear her eye patch more often but she won't. I would argue with her more about it but it is a losing argument and there is no sense fighting for nothing lol
