Then And Now

When I was a kid, we had a television set and thought we were living high on the hog, even though it was a black and white (few people had color sets yet). It looked somewhat like this one:


The family would sit together in the evenings and we would watch whatever my parents wanted to watch. It was great, the shows were a thousand times better than the junk they put on television these days.
Now days, seems like families don't do that togetherness stuff much anymore, which is a shame. But, they still like to have the latest and greatest television sets and pretend they too are living high on the hog or at the very least, keeping up with the Jonses. They get a fancy LCD HDTV.
