Peace And Quiet

I have the pleasure of living with two females, one younger, one is my spouse. They can be rather noisy at times, either talking or listening to videos on the internet. The younger one is the noisiest because she cannot refrain from listening to things online and she cannot for the life of her manage to sit still.
The older one is my wonderful wife who, like all spouses, wants to talk. If she isn't here she still wants to talk. In the middle of my last blog post she called me on the phone so we can talk. It's okay, I don't mind talking to either of them if I am not trying to write.
Now the house is completely quiet, except for the usual household noises like the refrigerator motor from time to time and the sound of me typing. I have peace and quiet and I am enjoying it as I know it is short lived.
I like peace and quiet. When I was with my first wife and we had four boys they would always ask me what I wanted for my birthday or Christmas or Father's Day and I would always tell them (jokingly, of course) peace and quiet. I never got this gift then and I won't ever get it now either, not with two females around.
I love all my kids very much and I wouldn't trade the experience of raising them for anything. I never wanted kids but somehow managed to end up with five of them, all of them stepchildren but still, all of them mine. And I love them.
Now I am going to sit back, drink a cup of coffee, smoke a cigarette and enjoy the peace and quiet while I may. I have another post to write and I need to be able to think clearly, something peace and quiet affords me.
